Description

An earthquake measuring 6 point 0 on the Richter scale has rocked Hotan Prefecture in the Xinjiang Region. The quake hit at 6:50 am on Friday morning. The epicenter was in Taklimakan desert at a depth of 30 miles into the Earth’s crust. Chinese Earthquake center officials said they were expecting damage reports from 5 prefectures where the quake was felt. So far, no casualties have been reported.
